Ole Roy goes 1 out of 4

  • Jeff Goodman's blog at Fox Sports informs us that Ole Roy finally managed to get a high profile forward in the class of 2008. The player is Ed Davis. Check the link for the other three big men Ole Roy missed
  • Andrew Skwara of Rivals via Yahoo Sports (say that ten times fast) talks about the new age of recruiting: very very early commitments from 14 year olds and such. To quote Tom Konchalski at that age, they don't even know what they want for lunch (then again, who does?). Skwara says that the coaches are split on this issue. Skwara has kindly assembled a list of the 2010 commitments, a lucky 13 of them, with Ohio State and Kentucky getting two each. Others in the game: Baylor, Washington State, USC, West Virgina, NC State, Iowa State, Syracuse and Illinois. A wide array of coaches accepting these commitments, which really shows that if they think they have a chance at a superstar, they'll take them whenever they are willing to commit.
